Becoming a PowerEd instructor is a fulfilling and gratifying accomplishment. Whether you opt to work with school children, youth, adults, or seniors, you can take pride in knowing that you have contributed to their sense of well-being and empowerment.

You do not need any previous martial arts experience to become a PowerED instructor. Past participants have included teachers, recreational specialists, and martial arts instructors. Many were already working with youth or seniors, or were in the health care sector. What you do require is commitment, enthusiasm, and a belief that you are making a positive change in the lives of those who take the class. For the rest, you will be trained and supported to deliver the program in your communities.

PowerEd is a unique, standardized curriculum for teaching mental and physical awareness, self-defense skills and a practical range of safety and fitness-related behaviours and assertive strategies. Classes and workshops can be delivered in mainstream and alternative school classrooms, recreational centers, at social service organizations and sports clubs, among other venues.
