On February 22, 2017 Fit4Defense attended a Sportscape conference hosted by Via Sport with funding by the Province of British Columbia. The Honourable Peter Fassbender, then Minister of Community, Sport, Cultural Development will be among the guest speakers.

One of their main objectives is to erase bullying in sport throughout the province. Their declaration:

We call on all those involved in sport — participants, athletes, coaches, parents, caregivers, officials, organizations, partners, volunteers and others — to join us in this commitment and help ensure a safe, welcoming and positive sport culture and environment for all British Columbians of every background, gender, sexual orientation, culture, ethnicity, age, ability and aspiration.

To this end, they have written up a Sport Declaration of Commitment, which Fit4Defense signed. We encourage all sports organizations to do the same.
