What is Fit4Defense?
Fit4Defense is a national program that increases youth empowerment through self-defense, assertiveness training and the development of life skills. As you probably know, bullying and violence are serious problems facing our youth today in schools and the community. Youth are also less physically active as a result of computers and video games. This program provides them with information and techniques to gain life and leadership skills, improve communication and manage anger for the purpose of violence prevention, increased safety and risk reduction.
Who is the program for?
The program was initially designed for gender specific and mixed classes of youth and high risk youth and has since developed an elementary school curriculum for grades 4 – 6. There are classes, workshops and camps for women, seniors, families and specialized groups such as sport and social service referrals.
How is it delivered?
There is a “Train the Trainer” Instructor Certification that provides teachers, martial artists, youth workers, recreational workers, and other interested persons with a comprehensive process for acquiring the knowledge and skills needed to plan and lead Fit4 Defense training in schools, community centers and social service agencies.

The training is customized for each group and works to assist you to identify funding options and to meet your program needs and budget requirements.
